Idaho's Allergy SpecialistDr. Kathryn L. McMullan is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology, a head and neck surgery fellow and a member of American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Dr. McMullan's practice is centered on individual patient care with rapid symptom relief and control. Each patient has a detailed treatment plan that is tailored to their individual needs with emphasizes on little to no medication usage. Dr. McMullan's practice is founded upon healthy lifestyles decisions that bring about change and relief with problematic symptoms. Dr. Kathryn L. McMullan

Meet Idaho's Allergy SpecialistDr. McMullan was educated in Virginia and completed her residency in Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver. Since completing residency in 1987 Dr. McMullan has practiced in Colorado and Montana. Dr. McMullan is board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery with sub-certification in Allergy by the American Association of Otolaryngology Allergy. Dr. McMullan first became interested in allergy when standard medical practices did not lead to improvement in many of her patients symptoms. This lack of improvement led her to look elsewhere other than standard Otolaryngology practices for treatment options. Dr. McMullan through experience and mentoring (by the late Dr. William Wilson of Denver) came to recognize the importance of allergies in treating many Otolaryngology issues. Dr. McMullan has dedicated much of her time to postgraduate studies in Allergy and strives to give her patients the improved quality of life they are looking for.Dr. McMullan currently resides in the Boise area with her husband Michael Lahey and their two children Andrew and Sadie. She enjoys the outdoors and taking advantage of the Boise community and all it has to offer.

Our LocationWe are onveniently located at the intersection of Hwy 44 and Chinden Blvd in the St. Alphonsus Eagle Health Plaza. Our office is located on the 2nd floor all the way down on the left. Our FacilitiesWe have a lab where allergy testing is done and allergy shots are given. Our lab features the latest instruments in allergy testing and treatment. Our treatment capabilities are not limited to in house facilities, we currently contract with a local laboratory as well. In order to expand our treatment and diagnosis capabilities. We provide all the care and concern of a small practice with all the capabilities of many large offices.

EAR NOSE AND THROAT

Dr. McMullan is a board certified Otolaryngologist. She specialized in issues pertaining to the ears, nose and throat. Dr. McMullan also treats allergies through sublingual therapy and subcutaneous therapy. Since completing her residency in 1987 she has treated a wide variety of head and neck issues including: allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, hearing loss, vertigo and disorders of the upper digestive tract.

ALLERGY TREATMENT

Allergic issues are some of the most common causes of everyday problems people have with their health. Allergies can negatively affect breathing, eating, seasonal activities and your overall general well being. Allergy treatment is not something that can come over-night. Most people seek over the counter treatment with medications and nasal sprays. However many people continue to be unhappy with this treamtement method and seek alternative, lasting treatment through immunotherapy. Allergic immunotherapy is a proven way to deal with the symptoms of allergies in the long run. There are two forms that exist today, and both start with testing for responses to commonly encountered substances. Following testing a treatment regimin must be established for long term management and complete treatment. We are always accepting new patients in our clinic. Our staff is ready to help you and support you through the allergy treatment process. Allergy treatment and symptom relief doesn't come overnight and patience and awareness are essential to embarking on the treatment journey. To help you begin the process we have provided access to several forms right here on our website. The forms listed below will expedite the check in process as well as prepare you for your first visit. As a courtesy to all patients we will bill your insurance company for office visits and lab work. To make things a bit simpler we have also listed contracting insurance companies on our services page.Before you come into our office we ask that you fill out the forms on the right. There are a few types of medical history questionnaires, please fill out the general medical history questionnaire and any others that apply to the issue you wish to be seen for.
