About Us
Upon completing residency
in 1987, Dr. McMullan became interested in allergy in 1988, when she realized that surgery does not help every patient with chronic
sinus, ear or throat infections. Searching for alternatives to the surgical approach, she
then returned to study with her mentor, Dr. William Wilson, in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Wilson, a practicing ENT surgeon,
had been including allergy in his practice for over fifty years. He introduced her to the world of allergy and her approach
to ear, nose and throat problems was broadened with this new knowledge.

Kathryn L. McMullan, MD PLLC
Dr. McMullan was educated in Virginia and completed her residency
in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver in 1987. She has practiced in Colorado and
Montana. She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and is sub-certified in allergy
by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She became interested in allergy because of the number of patients who had
upper airway problems including chronic sinusitis, asthma, and ear infections, and food issues that were not improved with
standard medical and surgical procedures. She has taken multiple courses in allergy and has spent time in postgraduate training
in allergy and in sublingual treatment of allergies. She and her husband, orthopedist Michael Lahey, MD, and her two children,
Andrew and Sadie, enjoy snowboarding, equestrian activities and the wonderful environment of the Boise area.
