What is an Otolaryngologist?
An otolaryngologist is a physician who specializes in medical and surgical treatment of the ears,
nose, throat and neck. Dr. McMullan is an allergy ENT specialist and focuses on treatment of allergy as it affects the whole
individual including:
- Skin and Face: dry, itchy flaky skin, atopic disease and eczema.
- Nose and Sinuses: Headache, facial pain and pressure, sinus infection, breathing problems including
congestion, rhinitis and postnasal drainage, disorders of taste and smell. Snoring and sleep disorders are also addressed.
- Ears: balance disorders, infections, hearing loss.
- Mouth: tonsil disorders, burning, itching, bad breath.
- Throat and voice: hoarseness, assessment of voice problems, swallowing problems, reflux disease.
- Eye: itching, dryness, redness.
- Lungs: shortness of breath with exercise, chest tightness, wheezing, asthma. We will use nasal endoscopy
and laryngoscopy to assess problems as indicated.
Allergy testing and treatment including shots and sublingual drops are offered
as part of our treatment options.
